Qualifications:
Associate's degree from a college or university in a software development field or 2 to 3 yrs. of related exp. or training, or an equivalent of education and training.

Required experience with Oracle, SQL (preferably with SQL Navigator). Must have some technical experience in reviewing, validating and/or building transaction based data. An understanding of XML is preferred. Other skills and abilities: knowledge of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel; must acquire a thorough understanding all assigned state business rules, state preferences and habits and acquire a basic knowledge of other states in order to serve as back-up support as needed; proven and verifiable.

Customer Service skills are required with an emphasis on research and analysis in follow up methods; must learn and use many or all of the following tools to analyze, interpret, track and report on PDB data and Gateway transactions: FTP, CRT, SQL Navigator, MS Access, XML, Slick Edit, ECEL, PVCS, Tracker, Internal and External NIPR Applications; ability of work in a team environment; good written and oral communication skills as well as good and consistent attention to detail; must be able to handle a high volume workload consistently well in stressful situations; must be available to work overtime when necessary.

Job Description and Wage Information:
The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR), an affiliate of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) currently has an opening for a State Support Analyst.

Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to: PDB Load Verification which includes working daily errors in Transmission Viewer with State X-Ref, NAU, PCE, ECU, Load Manager, Consult with State Support Liaison or Sr. State Support Liaison backup when unable to complete research to resolve the issue. Responsible for working directly with the State DOI on customer service referred requests if a problem or issue requires state input for resolution. Responsible for supplying all back up documentation and previous research if customer service referred issues appear to involve application problems. Monitors the status of the Load process to ensure readers are up and running for processing of data files.

Monitors the Gateway transactions for assigned states. Follows-up on Transactions Pending State Review and determines state guidelines for how long something can and should be pending. Communicates directly with the state on written state business rules. Reports any problems regarding the transfer of transaction files to the state. Establishes with the state a normal turnaround time for state acceptance and response. Researches or follows up with state on any customer service reported issues. Records daily activity with each state.
Wage: $31,500-$32,500/yr.
