Data Entry Supervisor

The Kansas City Board of Elections is seeking a skilled person to oversee management and maintaintenance of Kansas City's voter registration records. Individual should possess outstanding managerial abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven leadership and team building attributes; keen attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and ability to apply Missouri election laws and statues appropriately.

Responsibilities Person is responsible for a 4-5 person team of clerks; directs clerks' production activity; supervises input of voter registration documents and voter history into the Missouri Centralized Voter Registration (MCVR) system; plans and assigns department work; addresses and resolves voter issues in timely, professional manner; conducts training on data base modules, election day phone bank and election administration procedures;hires and evaluates staff and temporary clerks during election cycles; provides written reports and analysis of data; establishes priorities, monitors work progress and re-adjust and re-align tasks/assignments to meet public demand. Individual must demonstrate a history of consistently meeting deadlines; exhibit excellent interpersonal skills; have worked with diverse populations of customers and staff; possess high level of customer service skills and training.

Qualifications College degree preferred, but not required. Strong supervisory/managerial experience; expert user of databases;minimum five years experience working with database management systems; ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, instructions and procedural manuals; comfortable with writing reports and business correspondence; strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to problem solve, maintain high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail a must; commitment and desire to ensure voting by all who are eligible, and ensure voters' rights are protected. Volunteer Coordinator

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under general direction a volunteer coordinator is responsible for the assessment of volunteer opportunities and recruitment, screening, placement and training of volunteers keeping all related materials updated and accessible. The Volunteer Coordinator also assists the Director of Education in directing the overall education mission and associated educational programs of the Kansas City Zoo.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivers volunteer orientation, training and programming specific to staffing needs.

Part Time Outreach and Education Associate

The Kansas City Anti-Violence Project (KCAVP) is a grassroots nonprofit organization that is working to end domestic violence, sexual assault and hate crimes in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community focused on the metropolitan Kansas City area as well as western Missouri and eastern Kansas.

The outreach and education associate is responsible for providing outreach and community education through trainings and event participation to increase awareness about LGBT domestic violence, sexual assault, and hate crimes in Kansas. The position is 25 hours per week Monday through Friday during regular business hours and a flexible schedule is possible. Some nights and weekend work may be required. This individual reports to the executive director and is supervised by the outreach and education coordinator.

Responsibilities
1. Facilitating community education
A. Presenting trainings about LGBT violence to community organizations, service providers, law enforcement, etc.
B. Cultivating relationships with people in the community for new places to conduct trainings and presentations and solicit education and outreach ventures with those people.
C. Assisting the outreach and education coordinator with curriculum development and revisions.
2. Coordinating community outreach
A. Scheduling attendance at community events as well as coordinating the staffing for them whether that is the outreach and education associate, outreach and education coordinator, etc.
B. Collaborating with the LGBT community and business leaders to include KCAVP in their efforts whether that is posters and brochures in bars, training of staff or volunteers, etc.
C. Working with the outreach and education coordinator developing outreach materials.

3. Other duties
A. Keep thorough track of all statistics related trainings, outreach events, and collaborations through spreadsheets (Excel) and databases (Salesforce).
B. Represent the agency at meetings with other agencies and organizations.
C. Provide backup support to or act in place of the victim advocate for direct client service when needed.
D. Participate in staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.
E. Perform other duties as issued by the executive director.

The position is located in Kansas City, MO. Regional travel by car within one hour of Kansas City is required, almost all travel will be to the Kansas side of the metro area. The candidate must have reliable transportation.

Because of the nature of outreach events and volunteer activities, the position requires working outside of regular business hours. Additionally, candidates will have to provide three references and pass a background check due to the nature of work the agency does.
