Qualifications:
• Demonstrates an interest in working with a senior population. • Demonstrates a warm, outgoing personality. • Interacts with guests, residents and associates in a courteous and friendly manner. • Able to read, write and speak English. • Minimum of one year experience in commercial cleaning operations, preferably in a hospital or nursing home. • Demonstrates ability to supervise and direct associates. • High school education or equivalent. • Demonstrates maturity, responsibility, patience and compassion. • Able to handle confidential resident information.

Job Description and Wage Information:
Supervises housekeeping associates and performs housekeeping duties throughout the community in accordance with established guidelines as required in community standards and guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. • Establish weekly housekeeping schedule for both associates and housekeeping services. • Meet with new residents to discuss housekeeping scheduling preferences and available services. • Collect trash and refuse from work areas and places in designated pick-up areas. •

Order and keep records of all supplies not to exceed budgetary guidelines. • Prepare initial draft of operating and capital budget for department. • Maintain all housekeeping and cleaning equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition. • Report observations regarding structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctioning equipment and any needed repairs to the Director of Plant Operations. • Maintain up-to-date records on housekeeping activities. • Inspect and make ready all apartments prior to occupancy by residents. • Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests for services. • May require working evening and/or weekend hours. • Lead team by example through adherence to community standards and guidelines. • Practice and observe all safety and loss prevention programs. • Plan, facilitate, and participate in in-service training programs. • Evaluate the effectiveness of housekeeping services by daily walk-through of areas and periodic audits to ensure community cleanliness meets the highest standards of quality, as well as federal and state regulations. • Supports the Mission and Values of the community. • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervises housekeepers to perform cleaning duties in assigned areas, including apartment homes, common areas, public restrooms, lounges and offices.
