Maintenance Foreman – Welding (Iatan) (108800)

Salary Range: Mid $70’s to upper-mid $80’s (Depending on Qualifications)

Minimum Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of three years experience (five preferred) with welding and fabrication in a power plant or other similar heavy industry is required. Five years experience as a Journeyman Welder under SSME Section IX, ASME B 31.1 or ASME Section I.

Special Requirements:
A successful Supervisory Assessment Center evaluation is required, as is successful completion of NUS Power Plant Fundamentals training. Knowledge and experience in mechanical maintenance in a power plant or similar industry is required. Extensive experience in maintenance and repair of power plant piping and structural fabrication and repair is preferred. Supervisory experience and excellent interpersonal skills are required.

Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will supervise subordinate personnel in the maintenance and repair of operating equipment. Responsibilities include, but not limited to maintenance planning and support for the CMMS system. Direct supervision of welder/mechanical craft, executing planned work and troubleshooting problems are the primary responsibilities. Ensure that the welding materials and WPS’s specified on the Repair Bill are used and adhered to. Visual Inspection (VT) of welds for Code Acceptance shall be performed by the Maintenance Foreman who shall note his acceptance in the Repair Plan.
