Qualifications:
A master's degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge can be acquired is necessary. Four to five years experience in personnel, career planning, counseling or student personnel is necessary. Job Description and Wage Information:
Wage: $59,170 - $79,288/yr. The University of Missouri-Kansas City invites applications and nominations for the Director of Career Services. This position, one of thirteen directors within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, reports to the Assistant Dean of Students and provides campus leadership for the activities that support student development through campus programming and individual career counseling. Job Responsibilities: The Director will serve on committees related to student affairs and lead divisional special projects as assigned.

The Director of Career Services will direct the financial, operational, and personnel activities of the Career Services Center. The Director will develop and monitor annual operating budget, including special grants and contracts, and prepare proposals for new career services programs. The Director will be responsible for maintaining contacts with area employers, presenting workshops to students and the community on career placement topics, coordinating doctoral internship program, and coordinating with Missouri Extension Services to plan and deliver career services to Missouri residents outside the metropolitan area.
