Victim Services Specialist

The Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) is a nonprofit organization that exists to lessen the ill effects of sexual assault and abuse through prevention, education, intervention, treatment, and advocacy. The Victim Services Specialist will provide support to victims of sexual violence through the agency 24-hour crisis line, face-to-face crisis intervention, and supportive counseling. This position will also serve as the initial contact for clients coming to the agency for appointments, assist with client intake process, and help clients navigate agency services. This position will also fulfill reception and administrative duties.

Responsibilities Provides support to victims and their loved ones through the 24-hour crisis line, face-to-face crisis intervention, and supportive counseling.
Serves as initial contact for victims coming to agency for appointments, helps clients navigate agency services, and assist with client intake process.
Assist clients in accessing agency resources.
Fulfills administrative duties such as database entry, schedule management, mail sorting and distribution, and stocking and maintenance of office supplies.

Qualifications Experience in a human service field. High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's preferred. The person serving in this position must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must also have strong computer skills. Must be able to lift 25 lbs., and have a valid driver's license. Hours: Full-time, Monday-Thursday 9:45am-6:15pm and Friday 8:30am-5pm
