Early Learning Center, Assistant Teachers-(Summer Program)

The Salvation Army of Kansas City, Kansas has an immediate opening for one full time and one part time Assistant Teachers for the Summer Program in our Early Learning Center. The Assistant Teacher supports the responsibilities of a Lead Teacher in teaching academic, social, and motor skills to children ranging from infant through pre-school age

Qualifications for this position include:

•Minimum qualification: High school diploma
•Two years prior experience in teaching and supervising children in licensed Day Care Centers preferred.
•Work experience in Head Start program and familiarity with its standards would be a plus. Other experiences (academic, internship, volunteer and extra curricular activities) indicating aptitude, ability and suitability for working with children will be considered.
•Exemplify a loving and caring attitude with positive behavior/conduct.
•First Aid and CPR certification, Child Abuse Prevention and Contagious Disease required.
