Technology Resource-Gordon Parks Elementary

Provide leadership role in the on-going development and improvement of programs and services to increase technology awareness and effective use throughout the curriculum.

Responsibilities
Provides support to the classroom teacher through collaboration, coaching, or modeling for the effective integration of technology tools and resources to support instruction in the classroom.
Promotes the use of technology in core curriculum program
Coordinates the development of technology related curriculum
Coordinates school-community technology projects.
Selects and develops technology-enhanced materials and resources related to the educational program.
Stays informed of new computer education materials and equipment.
Examines and recommends technology materials to appropriate school personnel.
Participates in the development and implementation of technology professional development, including presenting workshops to students and staff.
Leads efforts in planning and evaluating programs, equipment and software needs.
Works with administration to file e-rate.
Prepares a yearly budget and assists development in conceptualizing projects for grants.
Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, and resources.
Work with the administration to assess the impact of technology and other programs within the school.
Perform minor maintenance of equipment.
Stays up-to-date with new technologies including: Smart Boards, Distance Learning, etc.
Leads staff in the development and implementation of our technology plan.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Teaching certification- preferred but not required
Minimum of 3 years experience in technology related position
