Secretary II – Legal Department (108697)
Minimum Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree is a plus. Two years of legal clerical experience required for Secretary I; five years of legal clerical experience required for Secretary II. Must pass KCP&L clerical testing.
Special Requirements: Must possess strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism. Exceptional organizational and oral and written communication skills are essential. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, are necessary. Experience with a document management system is preferred.
Position Responsibilities: Will provide confidential secretarial and case support primarily for the Litigation group to include: preparing correspondence, pleadings and documents; opening, organizing, and maintaining files; maintaining databases; gathering information and records; scheduling meetings and arranging travel; and monitoring CLE compliance and reporting. Will provide general office support for Law Department personnel including routing mail, document scanning, filing, and answering telephones. Will undertake special assignments as directed.
